Karen A. Robinson

President and CEO

Ms. Robinson is the founding principal and CEO of The Kinnamon Group, Inc., a diversified financial services company availing private, public, and not-for-profit clients an array of Loss Mitigation and web-enabled applications. Through the acquisition of a majority interest in a joint venture partner, Community Paperworks, Inc. of Rockville, Maryland, Ms. Robinson assumed the President and CEO title on January 1, 2006.

The acquisition of CPWI complimented Kinnamon’s Loss Mitigation practice with real estate related interests.

Founded in 1990, Kinnamon has developed a diversified portfolio of financial solutions for clients, with an emphasis on the recovery of stranded receivables.

Since 1995, Kinnamon Solutions, a division of the company, has focused on the development of state-of-the-art Loss Mitigation services to the public and commercial sectors. The focus has been on Field Services, Portfolio Remediation for REOs and Foreclosures, Property Preservation, and Loss Prevention. Ms. Robinson has built this practice wherein to date the firm services commercial portfolios totaling in excess of $2 billion. The firm services accounts nationally.

The Kinnamon Group Inc. is a minority/woman owned company. The firm is certified as a MBE/WBE with the City of Philadelphia Minority Business Enterprise Council. The firm is a member of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and the National Association of Mortgage Field Services.

Since 1985, Ms. Robinson has provided investment banking services as a Vice President with William E. Simon & Sons Municipal Securities, Inc., Van Kampen Merritt, a then subsidiary of Xerox Financial Services, and PHN Capital Funding of Atlanta, Georgia.

For a decade prior to entering the investment banking field, Ms. Robinson held a variety of senior public policy positions in health care, housing and public administration.

Ms. Robinson held a senior administrative position with Congressman James J. Florio of the 1st District of New Jersey during the 99th Congress. She also served as Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Camden, New Jersey, and the Deputy Director of Housing and Community Development. During the 98th Congress, Ms. Robinson served as legislative staff to the late United States Senator John Heinz of Pennsylvania on both the U.S. Senate Finance and Banking Committees.

Ms. Robinson is a retired White House Staff Advance consultant, serving the Carter, and Clinton Administrations. Additionally, she has provided logistic support to numerous public officials on domestic and international trips, inclusive of Nelson Mandela’s first trip to the United States in 1990.

Ms. Robinson holds an undergraduate degree in Education and a graduate degree in Public Administration (Finance) from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.
